If you take care of your mittens, they’ll keep your hands warm winter after winter. It is possible to machine wash them, but as they have a waterproof layer on the inside, we do not recommend doing this often.
The best thing is to wash the mittens on the outside when needed, using a damp washcloth. If they get really dirty and you have to machine wash them, we recommend these steps:
- Do not dry clean.
- Before you wash your mittens, make sure to close the cuffs.
- Select a gentle washing program at 30º.
- Use a mild detergent, but no bleach, softening or rinsing agents. They can damage the water-resistant properties and the color of the fabric.
- Line dry the mittens. Do not tumble dry.
- Do not iron.
